Bayside was founded in the heart of Little Italy in 1932 with the goal of empowering a new, emergent community in San Diego. Over nine decades later, Little Italy is a vibrant, thriving San Diego community full of life and culture. This year, on Friday, August 11 we were excited to host our first ever Bayside Bocce Ball Tournament at the Little Italy Amici Park! The bocce courts are adjacent to the historic, original site of our center at 250 W. Date Street. Thank you to everyone who came out to learn and play this fun and traditional Italian field game with us! Proceeds and donations from this event support our continued work to empower diverse communities throughout San Diego.

Each team registration included one team entry into the tournament, four t-shirts, and four meal vouchers. Appetizers, lunch, and refreshments from local Little Italy businesses were available for all in attendance. Also available for purchase were single tickets which included a t-shirt and meal voucher.
