Current Volunteer Opportunities

• Receptionist/Greeter: If you are a friendly, outgoing person who loves meeting new people of all ages, this volunteer position may be for you! Bayside is looking for someone who can greet people with a friendly smile as they enter Bayside Community Center, and who are able to answer any questions the community may have. This volunteer position will be 4 hours per week.

• Grant Researcher: Are you interested in researching and making a difference? If so, grant researching would be the volunteer position for you. . As a grant researcher, you will have the opportunity to not only use your researching skills in finding appropriate grants for Bayside, but also help our community thrive by providing us with the means to create and expand our new programs!

• Translator/Interpreter: Are you bilingual in Vietnamese, Mixtec, or Somali languange and interested in providing our Bayside Community with translating and/or interpreting services? In addition to helping Bayside, you will also be empowering those who have a limited ability to communicate in English. Being a translator and/or interpreter for a non-profit organization will also be helpful for future job employment. This opportunity will be on an as-needed basis.

• Maintenance: If you are experienced with maintenance and general upkeeping of buildings, you may be interested in this position. This volunteer position assists the Facilities Manager in various duties that include cleaning our Bayside facility, small fix-it jobs and yard maintenance. This could be a one-day commitment or more.

• Linda Vista Community Garden at Bayside: Join us every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am - 3:30pm for garden maintenance in our beautiful garden.
