Bayside Community Center works with many schools around Linda Vista to help the students in our community. If you enjoy working with children and high school students, these volunteer positions may be the right fit for you!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

• Bayside Kids Academic Club: Bayside is in need of English speakers to tutor and assist 2nd and 3rd grade Carson Elementary School Students with English reading and writing comprehension. Some activities include: test preparation and language acquisition, homework and reading, and various enrichment activities. This volunteer position is a 6 month committment. Hours are needed after school Monday - Friday.  Bilingual Spanish and Vietnamese speakers are a plus.

• Mission: Possible: Bayside's Mission Possible program focuses on post high school needs and helps 10th through 12th graders in acquiring the necessary information required to make educated and responsible decisions as they prepare for life beyond high school. In this position you will be a mentor to these students.  Providing much needed guidance as they prepare for life after high school.  This volunteer position need a 6 month commitment, 1-2 hours per week.
