Help Students and Families Get Ready to Go Back to School
The data is clear. Students countywide have fallen behind in their ability to read at effective and efficient levels. Here in Linda Vista, we see this firsthand in our Academic Club Program, which operates at two Title I schools, Linda Vista Elementary and Kit Carson Elementary. On average, new students enter our afterschool literacy-support program reading 1.54 years below their expected grade level. But did you know that Academic Club helps students reduce their literacy gaps by 41% in their first year?
This upcoming school year, Academic Club is facing a funding gap of $20,000. Without closing this gap, these students are at risk of falling further behind their peers, which will lead to further academic struggles throughout their lives. So far, we’ve reached our first mile-stone of $2,000. Help us reach our next mile-stone of $4,000 to close the funding gap for this program.

Your donations allow us to continue offering our life changing program without any cost to participating families.
