This Earth Month, our community is putting their hopes for nature into words – one leaf at a time.
As part of Bayside’s Environmental Learning Center (BELC), we’ve been inviting community members to write their hopes on paper leaves – simple intentions for how they want to connect more deeply with nature.
One of those leaves came from Mary. She wrote that she dreams of creating a “garden crawl” – a way for neighbors to walk together and explore the gardens of Linda Vista, discovering the beauty and possibility already growing in their community.
It’s a simple idea, but it’s also something more. It’s about connection. It’s about access. It’s about creating spaces where people feel rooted.
